PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
UMI’s bolt-in rear coilover kit allows for full adjustability in ride height, spring rate, and damping for 1978-1988 GM G-Body vehicles. The kit features a direct bolt-in upper mount reinforcement for a 2-½” racing coilover with T-Bar. The lower bracket, designed using FEA, bolts in using the standard trailing arm mounting hole and an additional reinforcement hole. It offers multi-position adjustments for fine tuning of ride height and shock location. The Viking shock included is 19-way adjustable in compression and rebound for customized settings. Coilover springs are available in 110lb/in for drag and street use and 150lb/in for street and handling use. The kit is designed to fit factory rear end housings and can be returned to stock if needed. It is manufactured and raced in the USA using US materials.
Optional Shock Tower Brace P/N 3055:
Designed for additional chassis reinforcement by tying the left and right rear shock towers together. It may not fit all exhaust systems.
Overall, the UMI rear coilover kit offers adjustability, performance, and durability for your GM G-Body vehicle.
Fitment Note:
- Coilover brackets are designed for factory rear end housings and may not fit aftermarket rear ends.
- Rear shocks may not clear all exhaust tail pipes.
- Designed for height range up to 1” lowering and 2” above stock.

- Included Viking Warrior double adjustable shocks offer 19 compression and 19 rebound adjustments.

- Adjustable height lowering mounting bracket allows shock travel tuning and additional ride height tuning.
- Brackets manufactured entirely from 3/16” Made In USA mild steel.
- Powder coated for a long-lasting finish.
- Sliding slot included for use with control arm relocation brackets.
- Optional shock tower reinforcement brace available. (P/N 3055)
- Designed, tested, manufactured, and raced in Philipsburg, PA-USA.

Flat Rate Shipping ($11.99) is only offered on Retail orders over $149 shipped via Ground in the Continental United States.

Return Information
All returns are subject to the authorization of UMI Performance, Inc. Please email [email protected] for a Returned Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Our Sales team will either authorize or deny the request for return at its discretion. Any product returned without an issued RMA number will not be credited. All returns must be made within 30 days of delivery, be in new condition, be in original sealed packaging and include the RMA number on the outside of the packaging. No exceptions. All products and their packaging must be in new and unopened condition. Products that have been altered, installed, or modified are not returnable. All shipping costs for returns are the responsibility of the customer. All returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee as well as the original shipping charges that UMI Performance may have incurred while shipping your order.
