UMI's tubular lower control arms feature their innovative Roto-Joint technology, offering a bind-free performance and smooth ride quality. The Roto-Joint design allows for 28 degrees of total unrestricted movement, ensuring low friction operation and precision handling. This design surpasses traditional rubber and polyurethane bushings, providing optimal suspension articulation.
The Roto-Joints are installed on both sides of the control arms, allowing for maximum performance and suspension travel. The control arms are constructed of 1.500" x 0.120" DOM mild steel tubing and are fully TIG welded for durability. They also feature reinforced sway bar holes for added strength.
UMI's Roto-Joint technology utilizes a 4140 chrome moly spherical ball with a delrin race, offering wear resistance and improved traction. The delrin race absorbs shock and road noise, providing a quiet and smooth operation on any street or track. The Roto-Joint is adjustable and 100% rebuildable for long-lasting performance.
The Roto-Joints are greaseable and low maintenance, making them ideal for street cruisers or race cars. This control arm set is shipped fully assembled and ready to install, using OEM hardware. The brilliant powder coat finish adds a professional touch to your vehicle.
For adjusting and disassembling the Roto-Joints, UMI offers a spanner wrench for maintenance purposes. The spanner wrench allows for tightening the adjusting ring and maintaining the Roto-Joint's performance over time. It is crucial for cleaning, inspection, and rebuilding of the Roto-Joints.
