PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
UMI’s leaf spring and Delrin shackle kit offers a heavy-duty solution for lowering the rear of your 2nd Gen vehicle. These springs are made in the USA using high-quality US steel and lower the car an average of 2" to 2-½" below the stock ride height. The springs bolt directly into the stock location with no modifications required.
The Delrin shackle kit is a high-performance upgrade suitable for various driving activities.
**Optional Add-On:** The UMI 2627 leaf spring hardware installation kit includes new polyurethane isolator pads, U-bolts, and hardware. It fits both stock and UMI applications. This kit has a 175 lb/in rate and is excellent for street driving, corner carving, drag racing, road racing, and auto-x. It features heavy-duty clips and an advanced leaf design to reduce spring wind-up.
Additionally, the springs have self-lubricating plastic isolators for consistent performance. Front bushings are pre-installed, and Delrin bushings prevent side-to-side movement for smooth suspension operation. The kit also includes laser-cut heavy-duty shackles with a durable gloss black powder coat.

2nd Gen Camaro VS Firebird Rear Lowering
The iconic 2nd generation Camaro and Firebird sit atop the same chassis but have very distinct body differences. Most noticeable, when lowering a 2nd generation Pontiac Firebird, is the rounder and taller rear tire opening compared to the Camaro's sleeker tapered-off design. This creates the illusion that the Pontiac is higher than the Camaro, and not lowered the same height in the rear.
To fix this visually, we now offer a leaf spring lowering block set, and recommend it for Pontiac models. See below for rear fender comparisons, and before and after the blocks are installed.

Flat Rate Shipping ($12.95) is only offered on Retail orders over $149 shipped via Ground in the Continental United States.

Return Information
All returns are subject to the authorization of UMI Performance, Inc. Please email [email protected] for a Returned Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Our Sales team will either authorize or deny the request for return at its discretion. Any product returned without an issued RMA number will not be credited. All returns must be made within 30 days of delivery, be in new condition, be in original sealed packaging and include the RMA number on the outside of the packaging. No exceptions. All products and their packaging must be in new and unopened condition. Products that have been altered, installed, or modified are not returnable. All shipping costs for returns are the responsibility of the customer. All returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee as well as the original shipping charges that UMI Performance may have incurred while shipping your order.
