UMI's rear trailing arms for the fifth generation Camaro feature Roto-Joint technology, which offers bind-free performance and a quiet, comfortable ride. The Roto-Joint design allows for 28 degrees of unrestricted movement, ensuring low friction operation and improved handling. These trailing arms enhance performance compared to factory rubber and aftermarket polyurethane bushings by enabling proper suspension articulation and precision handling.
The design allows free movement of the rear end during high-handling situations, making it ideal for both street and track use. The Delrin lining inside the spherical ball absorbs shock and road noise, resulting in smooth operation. The rear toe rods help control camber alignment, preventing tire movement under suspension load. Upgrading flimsy factory arms to heavy-duty toe rods stabilizes the suspension, enhances traction, and improves braking.
Installation is straightforward and can be done in under an hour with basic hand tools. UMI's Roto-Joint technology facilitates 28 degrees of total rotation and unrestricted movement throughout the vehicle's suspension. The Roto-Joint combines the advantages of a spherical rod end with the desirable qualities of a softer bushing, effectively preventing suspension bind and improving traction. Its construction ensures wear resistance and durability, making it adjustable and rebuildable for long-lasting performance. The optional spanner wrench can be used for adjustments and disassembly of Roto-Joints for maintenance and rebuilding.
